Advice for Authors & Writers:

Proposals for a new book
Please study our titles carefully so that there's a good match between what you're proposing and what are our strengths and areas of special interest. (Recently, for example, we've been sent books about the history of cricket in Pakistan, and a business textbook for TEFL. Neither are relevant to what we do).

Outline your proposal in a synopsis, indicating clearly:

Who the book is aimed at
Why there's a need for a new book
What are the practical details: no. of pages? copiable?
How long will it take to write?
What's the competition?

Send a short sample (a few pages would do fine) so we can get a good idea of what you're suggesting. If you'd like, you could include a suggested contents page. There's no need to go to the length of designing these sample pages, particularly if you're not a designer.

What we're interested in is the quality of the idea. We can provide the design, if the idea is a good one and fits into our publishing programme. When we receive your proposal we'll look at it, & perhaps get 2 or 3 people to comment on it for us. This, of course, takes time.
