Modern typeface and look very attractive.
Straightforward language and clear instructions.
Appropriate illustrations throughout. Learning objectives, hints, links and extension activities are just what we need for these core subjects.
 
Province of Poetry.
This gives a fresh approach to reading poetry and I particularly like the Open Evening idea of parents and children doing this together.
 
Solution of Scientists.
We have a wide range of first and second English language learners and I feel that this activity, plus the extension, will suite them all.
I particularly liked the cross-curricular links and will be promoting it to all departments.
 
Gridlocked.
My favourite. I love the "Treasure Hunt" aspect and the  Dewey links, which will make Year 7 Library Induction a breeze!
The maths emphasis will bring that department in to use the library properly. Dewey use clear and logical.
